Join Planina for an unplugged, informal, afternoon concert featuring Eastern European holiday and winter-themed songs. The program will include songs from Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

This will be a relaxed concert — the kind we might perform in a living room — and in that spirit we will serve hot spiced cider and some holiday treats made by members of Planina.

All proceeds in excess of expenses will benefit Sunflower Seeds Ukraine, a Boulder-based 501(c)(3) that provides medical aid and protective gear to small groups of defenders and humanitarian assistance to affected civilians in Ukraine.

Note: This beautiful, resonant meeting room is Planina’s weekly rehearsal space. The church and its resident nonprofit, Mirror Image Arts, a youth advocacy organization specializing in restorative theatre, are generously making the space available to us for this concert. If you attend, we encourage you to consider bringing an item for MIArts’ donation closet (youth winter clothing, everyday essentials, etc.; see donation list) in addition to your suggested donation for the concert and Ukraine fundraiser.
